"Asi" is the Greenlandic word for wilderness and reflects the wild nature you will traverse. The route follows the traditional sled path from the abandoned military base in Kangerlussuaq, across frozen tundra, lakes, and sea ice to Sisimiut. Each winter, the trail is shaped by the paws of sled dogs and the tracks of hunters' snowmobiles, in an Arctic hunting ground that Inuit have used for over 4,000 years..
